by EssexBoy1 inwell i have not been on this site for ages - so long that i had forgotten my username etc and have had to start again!.
anyway briefly - bought up in 'the truth', baptised at 18, married at 21, had kids, got divorced, remarried, disfellowshipped 15 years ago.. parents and brother shun me.. early last year father very ill, calls me.
i arrange to visit him in hospital.

Three lives will be ruined if you do not put them first. If you can keep them and your husband all the better, you love the man. You already are preparing to leave, this says something about your turmoil and pragmatism. Good for you. You were never a JW if you were not baptized, that's the game. Play the card before divorce, let them have the world in increments as he reacts you will know where you stand. Give him the benefit of the doubt but keep your options open.

How do you deal with depression?
by BlackWolf ini'm currently going through a bout of depression and my eating disorder has gotten worse.
ever since my parents actually told me that they are going to kick me out when i turn 18 i've felt kind of hopeless about my life.
my parents won't take me to the doctor because the psychiatrists won't have my "best interests" aka jw crap in mind, because really that's the root of all my problems.. i'm wondering if any of you guys have any advice with dealing with depression?

DO NOT SAY YOU ARE SUICIDAL IF YOU ARE NOT! Did you hear that? You do not want to open that door if its not true. You will open yourself to a 72 hour hold in some cases and a start of a file documenting your being unbalanced by the county/gov mental health system. If you are suicidal then call a hotline and get help. By all means speak up. Take a breath about all this and let it play out. From what I have read you are not going to panic. No matter what, when you are 18 you will be somewhere. You can't help but be somewhere. If you stay positive something will open for you. All the best!

If you Google "what is Truth" you will get a bunch of religious BS. I prefer to say that truth is cause and effect. Put your hand in an open flame, you will feel the resulting burn and seared flesh. This is true. Join a cult? get burned just the same, figuratively speaking? Wink wink.
